It is within Warwick is a historical town that borders Cotswolds. Warwick is famous for its majestic castle that is one of the top attractions in England. The castle in nestled among gardens that were landscaped beautifully by Capability Brown. It is no wonder that Warwick Castle is visited more often than any other stately home in the UK. It offers a great variety of splendor ranging from great halls, staterooms, torture chambers and dungeons. This castle dates as far back as the 14th century. Warwick Castle has been named as one of the ‘Top 10 historic houses and monuments’ by the British Tourist Authority in 2001.

Shopping in Warwick provides a huge variety of high caliber specialty shops. You will have the opportunity to stroll through gift, antique and china shops. There are farmers’ markets every month. Swan Street is the busiest street for shopping in Warwick. If you are looking for charm, don’t miss Smith Street, which is the oldest shopping street of Warwick.

If you love nature, be sure to visit the beautiful gardens and parks dotted throughout Warwick. Visit St. Nicholas Park and enjoy one of the many activities offered. This park is located near Avon River. It opened in the 1930′s with a Children’s corner and Formal gardens. Once World War II ended, many improvements were made to the park. This park offers a huge variety of activities including miniature train rides, giant chess, roundabouts, play areas, boules, enlarged skate park, paddling pool, crazy golf, BMX track and putting. Surely, there is something for everyone and every age at St. Nicholas Park.

There is a Folk Festival held in Warwick in July each year. The campsite and festival location are at the Warwick School grounds. These grounds also house the Bridgehouse Theatre that is used for acoustic concerts. There is also on-site catering and craft stalls during the weekend of the festival. There are events happening at the town centre including concerts, mumming plays and dance tours. Warwick town centre is only a short distance away from the campsite used for the festival.
